What does disability employment mean at WeCo?
What does disability employment mean in an organization where more than 90% of us live with disabilities? In a company where diversity and inclusion are living and breathing examples in the people we employ? WeCo has earned the “Leading Disability Employer” Award status from the National Organization on Disability for the past two years. To commemorate our 2020 award we’ll be photographing our Staff and Testers, from around the country, and sharing their insights in disability employment, as members of a company with a unique disability employment mission.
Disability Employment Perspective:
Debbie Heilig, Director of Client Relations

“I’m grateful that I get to work with organizations in their accessibility journey. Whether accessibility is just ‘the right thing to do’ for them, or they have received notification that they must make changes, it is rewarding to help them understand the ‘why and how’ of digital accessibility. As a former client, I have been in their place. I am honored to work with top-notch talent at WeCo, and a little intimidating to be the only non-disabled person in the company!”
