In what ways has the accessibility work you’ve done with WeCo allowed your organization to work more efficiently and save time and money?
When we first learned of accessibility remediation, we were largely using Lighthouse and Wave tools and chasing solutions from there. As we educated ourselves on the importance and intricacies of website compliance we were fortunate to meet the WeCo to really understand the soul of a complete remediation process.
With the WeCo by our side, we feel we can confidently deliver compliant websites to our clients who are willing and able to take their sites to where they should be. We have also improved our baseline compliance standards at Juicyorange.com which allows us to more confidently deliver for our Clients.
Has your company gained new clients and contracts through your work with us?
Yes. With our deeper understanding of WCAG compliance and all the intricacies that surround it, we’ve been referred many times by our Clients to help remediate sites in need – many new clients have emerged from that work. Additionally, we have been able to extend a higher level of digital deliverables to existing clients ensuring the love affair with Juicyorange stays Valentine’s Day fresh.
Are there any intangible ROIs that you’ve gained from working with us, that you feel have impacted your organization positively?
We put in a lot of time with the WeCo Team service hours. This work has made our programmers and designers more experienced, more skilled and overall better at their craft.
As a result, our work now delivers at a higher standard and reaches broader audiences — with added benefits like improved SEO and performance — not to mention it’s simply the right thing to do.
As a former professional drummer, one of my all-time favorite drummer is Stevie Wonder. I was never able to play with or for him, and I’ve exhausted my admiration for his music — so now I feel like I can honor his lifelong advocacy for accessibility. The more accessible the world is to EVERYONE, the better we will all collectively be.
